Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Customers Reviews
Thought the venue was great and ToP played well.
Getting in & out was a breeze. The attendant scanning tickets was helpful. The venue was very appealing with nice ambience. The atmosphere seemed a bit too controlled considering the demographics of the audience. The band invited people to approach the stage to enjoy the music and dance. This was quickly shut-down. The security seemed overly controlling and took away the excitement from all other Tower of Power concerts I've ever attended (over 25 ToP concerts).
T of P played well but there was a noticeable lack of energy. They played a little over 1.5 hours with one thrown-in and lackadaisical and uninspiring encore. It felt like this will be the last time I'm likely to see Tower of Power play in the PNW. Tacoma is a headliner stop but they seem tired. We liked new lead singer Mike Jerel; good but not great. In the last four ToP concerts, we've seen four new singers. Hard to keep a young singer interested in an older band like ToP. New singer doesn't have the same charisma as Marcus Scott.
